Hello, and welcome.
We’re Julie and Matt, the husband-and-wife team behind Dove & Pear.
From our small workshop in the hills of West Virginia, we spend our days imagining the curious little world of Chuckleberry Town—a place filled with peculiar inventions, well-worn furniture, quiet stories, and residents who always seem to have another project underway.
Everything in our shop begins as one of our own original designs. We sculpt each piece, carefully print it in our workshop, assemble it by hand, and finish it with layers of paint and age until it feels like something that has lived a life before finding its way to you.
We’re drawn to the imperfect.
Chipped paint. Worn corners. Faded colours. Furniture that looks as though it’s been cared for rather than replaced. We love the quiet beauty of ordinary objects that have gathered stories over time.
Many of our pieces are inspired by the residents of Chuckleberry Town—people like Mr. Harold Hobblepot, whose delightfully over-engineered household inventions rarely solve just one problem, or Tilly Thimbleberry, who somehow manages to misplace her gardening gloves every single afternoon.
Our hope isn’t simply to make miniature furniture.
It’s to create little pieces that spark curiosity, invite a closer look, and make someone smile years from now just as much as they did the day they first arrived.
Thank you for stopping by our workshop.
We’re truly glad you’re here.
— Julie & Matt
